Elisa is a researcher at CALP with a degree in Urban Forestry from UBC. She has helped lead projects such as the Vancouver Heat Watch Campaign in 2020 and created a teacher’s guide in collaboration with the sustainability team in the Vancouver School District. In addition to the Oak Bay project, she is working with the Faculty of Forestry to develop an interdisciplinary field course where students will work with local residents to design and install small climate action projects to tackle the climate emergency in their own neighbourhoods. She is interested in urban planning and how to involve the youth in sustainable initiatives.
